Bespoke

Forty evening pieces a year.

Galas, openings, and the nights that get planned around. Twelve to sixteen weeks.

How it runs

Shorter than bridal, same method.

Three fittings, sometimes four. The sequence is identical to a bridal commission — toile, cloth, baste, fit, finish — simply compressed, because there is one garment rather than a whole day to dress.

The forty-a-year cap is what keeps the hand-work honest. Beading and hem-rolling are done at the frame on the third floor, and neither can be hurried without showing.

Four months is comfortable.

Less than that is possible and we will say so plainly if it is not.
