Bespoke

Twelve brides, nine months.

The book opens nine months before the date and closes when twelve commissions are in it.

How it runs

From first measure to the morning of.

Six fittings, all of them in the Kolonaki salon. Athina cuts every bridal pattern by hand and is in the room at each one — the twelve-a-season cap exists so that stays true.

Most gowns are cut from a single bolt reserved at the start. If a cloth is being discontinued we tell you before you choose it, not after the toile is approved.

Asked most often

Before you write.

My date is closer than nine months

Write anyway. Eleven weeks is the shortest we have delivered. We will tell you honestly whether yours can be done rather than take it and rush.

I have cancelled elsewhere

It happens more than you would think, and it is not awkward. Bring whatever you have — sketches, a contract, a half-finished toile — and we will start from where you are.

Can my mother be fitted at the same time?

Yes, and it works better. The two garments are fitted in the same weeks and seen together on the stand before either is finished.

The book fills early.

Twelve a season, and the good dates go first.
