A commission is not an order. It begins with thirty-six measurements and ends with a garment that fits one body only.
Bridal commissions open nine months before the wedding date. Evening commissions need twelve to sixteen weeks. Suiting, six to eight.
A two-hour appointment in the Kolonaki salon. Athina or Niccolò takes thirty-six measurements. We discuss occasion, fabric, silhouette, and what you actually intend to do while wearing it.
Within four weeks we deliver three hand-drawn sketches and a calico toile cut to your measure. Nothing is cut in fabric until the toile is right.
A second salon visit. Eight to twelve fabrics curated to your colour, hand, and occasion. Most clients choose silks from Taroni and Bianchi in Como.
The garment is basted in your chosen fabric. We fit, pin, and adjust on the body — never on the form.
Hand-finishing begins. Embroidery, beading, and hem are sampled and approved before they are committed.
The garment is pressed, packed in a cotton dust bag, and delivered in person or by courier within Athens.
Every commission is quoted after the first measure, once fabric and hand-work are known. These are the ranges our clients have worked within this season.
Commissions above €2,500 may be settled in three instalments — thirty per cent at first measure, forty at fabric selection, thirty on delivery.
Nine months before a wedding. For evening wear, four months is comfortable; eleven weeks is the shortest we have delivered and we do not recommend it twice.
We can read a photograph for line and mood, but we will not copy another house’s garment. The sketches we return will be ours.
The first measure and the final fitting must happen in the salon. We have flown a toile to Paris for a second fitting before, and will again.
Expected, and built in. Seam allowances are cut generously and the final fitting sits as close to the date as the pressing allows.
Yes. Fabric selection is its own salon visit, with eight to twelve bolts pulled to your colour and hand before you arrive.
No. Twelve brides a season and forty evening pieces a year is what nine pairs of hands finish properly. When the book is full it closes.
Bring the shoes you intend to wear, if you have chosen them. Bring nothing else.
