The House
The salon, the cutting room, and the embroidery frame — and what happens in each.
Second floor, panelled in oak, north windows that hold good light until about four. Every measure and every fitting happens here — never in the cutting room, never on a form.
Third floor. Pattern paper, the oak table, and chalk. Athina drafts bridal here by hand; Niccolò cuts all suiting on the same table.
Also third floor, by the window. Eleftheria’s embroidery frame and the finishing bench beside it, where hems are rolled and beading is set.
At the back of the second floor there is a private room used only for bridal. It exists because a first look at a finished gown should not happen in a corridor with a courier arriving.
Workshop visits are arranged for clients with a commission in progress, usually between fittings. We are happy to show the rooms — we simply do not run tours.
Most silks come from Taroni and Bianchi in Como, ordered per commission rather than held in stock. Lace is sourced per piece. Wool for suiting is English and Italian, chosen at the fabric visit.
Nothing is bought speculatively, which is why there is no deadstock in this building and why a discontinued cloth is a real constraint rather than an inconvenience.
Workshop visits are arranged around fittings, for clients with a commission underway.
